Beauty meets technology with 3D-printed fingernails
We have featured quite a number of 3D technologies on WikiTrend, but few are more fun than the various fingernail designs created by a New York City-based digital artists collaborative. Known as TheLaserGirls, this dynamic duo produces fun finger art made of dyed nylon. One of the best things about 3D printed objects is that lots of them are made for sale on an online shop called Shapeways. This nail jewelry costs about USD $35 per set. While these are cool, what will take them to the next level is the ability for customers to, um, customize their own 3D-printed jewelry themselves. Then you can truly have unique nails that will be like none other.
